General Cruise Information

  • What is included in my cruise package?

    • Your package covers your accommodation, meals at main dining rooms and buffets, access to most onboard amenities (pools, fitness centers), and daily entertainment like shows and activities.

  • Is travel insurance required?

    • While not mandatory for most destinations, it is strongly recommended to cover medical emergencies or unexpected trip cancellations.

  • What should I pack?

    • Bring casual clothes and comfortable shoes for the day, and "smart casual" or evening wear for dinner. Don’t forget your passport, visas, and cruise tickets.

Visas & Travel Documents

  • Do I need a visa for Singapore cruises?

    • No, Filipino citizens can visit Singapore visa-free for up to 30 days.

  • Which destinations require a visa?

    • Filipinos generally need visas for the following popular cruise regions:

      • Japan & China: Required (Japan visa is only needed if you start or end your cruise at a Japanese port).

      • USA (Alaska, Hawaii, West Coast): A U.S. B1/B2 visa is required.

      • Canada: A Canadian visa is required, even for stopovers.

      • Europe (Schengen Area): A Schengen visa is required for most European cruises.

      • Australia & New Zealand: Both require specific visitor visas or ETAs.

  • What about Hong Kong?

    • Filipino passport holders can enter Hong Kong visa-free for up to 14 days.

Destinations & Best Times to Sail

  • When is the best time to cruise to Alaska?

    • The season runs from May to September, with the peak wildlife viewing and warmer weather occurring between June and August.

  • When should I visit Japan or China?

    • Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) offer the best weather for exploring.

  • Where do Europe cruises depart from?

    • Major departure ports include Barcelona, Rome, Athens, and Southampton.

Onboard Experience

  • Are there activities for non-swimmers or seniors?

    • Yes! Enjoy Broadway-style shows, spa treatments, cooking classes, and organized shore excursions designed for easy mobility.  

  • Is there Wi-Fi on the ship?

    • Yes, Wi-Fi packages are available for purchase onboard so you can stay connected.  

  • Can I book tours in advance?

    • Absolutely. It is recommended to pre-book shore excursions through the Cruising.com.ph to secure your spot for popular tours.
